3469652 - Discrepancy in Initiate Onboarding Button between Legacy and Latest Workbench - Recruiting Management

There's a discrepancy regarding the Initiate Onboarding button behavior between the Legacy and the Latest Workbench. In the Legacy, Initiate Onboarding is always selectable when button is permissioned to status, while in the Latest Workbench, the button can only be selected when the candidate is placed in a Hirable status.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Open an applicant which is placed in a status where the Initiate Onboarding button is permissioned but the status is not set as Hirable
   1. In Legacy: button can be selected
   2. In Latest Workbench: button cannot be selected and it's grey out
2. Now open an applicant which is placed in a status where the Initiate Onboarding button is permissioned and the status is set as Hirable
   1. In Legacy: button can be selected
   2. In Latest Workbench: button can be selected

This has been confirmed by Product Management and Engineering as expected behavior.

After 1H 2024, there were some behavior changes regarding Onboarding permissions in Recruiting. You can find more details about it in the link: Behavior Change of Onboarding Permission in Recruiting.

These changes are only applicable to the Latest Applicant Workbench, which may result in discrepancies when compared to the Legacy workbench.
