3470273 - Testing SDA Remote source connection to HANA Cloud tenant returns error '..[HDBODBC] ..rc=110:Socket closed by peer'

Testing a connection to a remote source database using SDA (Smart Data Access) returns error:

SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get remote source objects: [SAP AG][LIBODBCHDB SO][HDBODBC] Communication link failure;-10709 Connection failed (RTE:[89013] 
Socket closed by peer {<ip addr>:27920 -> <ip addr>:3128} (<ip addr:27920 -> <End point of the datasphere tenant>.hna0.prod-<DC>.hanacloud.ondemand.com:443)) 

Target system is running SAP HANA Platform (On-premise) and the SDA remote source is HANA Cloud tenant database Dataphere.

Testing the connectivity from the HANA On Premise host to HANA Cloud tenant endpoint URL does not return an error:
