Configuration Requirement to display Out Of office Information

  1. Under Admin Tools -> Company System and Logo Settings, enable the switches:

  2. Provide at least 'View' permission for 'Employee Time' object under Manage Permission Role -> User Permissions -> Time Management Object Permissions.

Why is out of office displayed in Profile Preview & Spotlight even if the employee is not on leave/time off?
  • In Profile Preview and Spotlight, the out of office information considers absences, holidays, and non-working days according to the work schedule. These are used to derive the "Back on" information shown.
  • Therefore, it could be that the particular day(s) is a holiday in the holiday calendar, or marked as non-working day in the employee's work schedule.
  • On the Latest Full Profile, only absences are considered.

Why is the out of office displayed in Profile Preview & Spotlight even if the leave/absence applied is pending approval?
  • Out of office will be shown for absences in status approved, pending, and pending cancellation.
Why is out of office not displayed in Profile Preview, Spotlight or Full Profile?
  • Partial-day absences/partial holidays are not considered.
  • Therefore it is currently expected behavior that out of office is not displayed
Why is out of office not displaying the 'Back On' information in Profile Preview & Spotlight?
Why is Out of office icon displayed in Latest Org Chart?
  • This is expected behaviour and as per design.
  • Out of Office information is also displayed on the org chart.
    • In the latest org chart, absences, public holidays, and non-working days are considered like on the latest people profile
    • On the legacy org chart, only absences are considered.

"Enable Full Profile for the latest People Profile" is enabled in Admin Tools -> Company System and Logo Settings

Why is Out of office not displayed in the Latest Full Profile, but shows up in Profile Preview & Spotlight?
  • On the Latest Full Profile, only absences are considered. 
  • Absences, public holidays, and non working days according to the work schedule are considered on the Profile Preview and Spotlight.

"Enable Full Profile for the latest People Profile" is disabled in Admin Tools -> Company System and Logo Settings

Why is the Legacy People Profile displaying the out of office with start date and end date, and not 'Back on' information like Profile Preview & Spotlight ?
  • The legacy People Profile still works same as before the 1H 2025 release. The change is only on the Latest People Profile (Preview, Spotlight & Full Profile).
  • To enable the Full People Profile in the Latest People Profile, refer WNV: WEF-158385 - Enhancements to Data Viewing in Full Profile
