3470532 - Identified Stock Numbers Are Generated Without Leading Zeros

Symptom

Leading zeros maintained in the Business Configuration work center Fine Tuning Activity 'Number Ranges for Identified Stock are removed when a new Identified Stock number is generated.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration Work center.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the Open Activity List.
  4. Select All Activities in the drop-down.
  5. Choose 'Number Ranges for Identified Stock'.
  6. Choose Open.
  7. Select the Prefix as Static and Enter the value as 0.
  8. Choose Save.

  9. Go to Warehousing and Logistics Master Data Work center.
  10. Open New Identified Stock under Common Tasks.
  11. Enter the Product ID ABC (ABC represents Product ID).
  12. Choose Change status.
  13. Select Activate.
  14. Choose Save.

The Identified Stock ID is displayed incorrectly and does not add '0' at the beginning of the Identified Stock .

 

Cause

The Identified Stock ID is system-generated, and the leading number must be a numeric value greater than or equal to 1.

Resolution

This is standard system behavior.
