Symptom

CI-DS task which extracts data from IBP fails with the error shown in CI-DS task's View History >> Error Log:

        E: MESSAGE - A database error occured. The error message in the database was: "cannot allocate enough memory: "SAPHANADB"."(DO
        statement)": line 2 col 3 (at pos 12):  [9] Memory allocation failed;exception 1000002: Allocation failed ;
        $failure_type$=TOTAL_STATEMENT_MEMORY_LIMIT_FROM_WORKLOAD_CLASS; $failure_flag$=; $size$=16; $name$=Job;
        ...
        E: MESSAGE - An error occurred. Please refer to the logs of batch <BATCH> ...

Searching in the IBP Application Logs app with the UUID from the same CI-DS task's View History >> Trace Log (e.g. '<EV_QUERY_UUID : > <00000000001111111111AAAAAAAABBBB>') the below errors shown:

  • Exception 'A database error occured. The error message in the database was: "cannot allocate enough memory: "SAPHANADB"."(DO statement)": line 2 col 3 (at pos 12): Allocation failed; Reason: configured total statement memory limit from workload class 'HCI_INTEGRATION' reached (SAP Note 3191224)".
  • Out-of-memory error found. Contact your IBP admin, mention log handle '00000000001111111111AAAAAAAABBBB'.
