While trying to implement your business requirements for the relevant 'Check Date Time Type' you detected some "Discrepancy" that caused your concern

• Relevant Customizing Step
  As a first step you enter SAP Customizing point: /natp_IMG -> Product Allocation (PAL) -> Activate Product Allocation
  In this point you will have the option to activate the Product Allocation Functionality by "Material Availability Date" or by "Requested Delivery Date"
  
  
• Relevant Configuration in Fiori App "Configure Product Allocation" or Fiori App "Manage Product Allocation Sequences" "
  As your next step you try to perform necessary configuration in the apps "Configure Product Allocation" and ""
  Doing this you get aware of the point, for the field "Check Date Time Type" you have not only the option to choose "Material Availability Date" or  "Requested Delivery Date" but additionally the option to choose "Goods Issue Date"
