3471069 - Warning "The folder specified by the connection does not exist. Are you sure you want to continue?" when creating new file server connection in SAC.

Symptom

When creating a new file server connection from SAP Analytics Cloud the below warning appears:

"The folder specified by the connection does not exist. Are you sure you want to continue?".

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC.
  2. Go to connections.
  3. Click on the "+" icon.
  4. Create a new file server connection.
  5. Fill the necessary details.
  6. Click Ok.
    >> Notice the warning message: "The folder specified by the connection does not exist. Are you sure you want to continue?".

Cause

The folder path specified in SAC when creating the connection is empty.

Resolution

Add a file to import under the folder specified in the connection, i.e, under the folder which path is mentioned in the "allowlist.txt".
