3471132 - Workzone Daily Alert Emails - Links Not Working


Customer reported that links within the Daily Alert emails that are being sent out to them are not working. Prior to a few weeks ago, these links were working fine.
The links that are not working are under the "Top 5 popular attachments:" section.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Make sure to have an active session in Workzone
  2. Open the link from the email notification -- any of the list of links from the Top 5 popular attachments

    The link will redirect to "Site cannot be reached".


After investigating, I found out that the links from the email notification of Top 5 Popular Attachments have incorrect format. The links are adding another https to the URL. See below sample.


When I try to correct the URL, I was able to open the link properly.

This is consistent with all the email notifications they are receiving specifically for the Top 5 Popular Attachments.

For the other links included in the email notification, the links are correct.

Engineering team confirmed and validated this.


There was a fix supposed to be moved by engineering on release R593 -- May 16, 2024. However, several customers confirmed that issue still persists after May 16, 2024 and up to this date. New investigation is being conducted to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
