Symptom
SuccessFactors release is coming and along with it an update has been scheduled to be applied in an SAP standard package in CPI.
You need to know at what time exactly it's going to be applied.
Also, you need to know if any impact will occur in case the package is updated before the SF release finishes.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM
- SAP Cloud Integration (CPI)
Resolution
The update is usually scheduled to occur on the first day of the release mentioned in Product Release & Road Map Information, at midnight UTC.
So, for example, if the release is shown to occur between November 15th - 17th, the update will be scheduled for November 15th 00:00 UTC.
If impacts are expected in case the package is updated before the SF release finishes, they will surely be announced to the customers.
Note: CPI interface coverts timing values to the user's time zone, so taking the example above, a user located in GMT-3 will see the update date as November 14th. This occurs because the CPI interface conversion ends up decreasing a day as the user is in a time zone that is hours behind UTC. So November 15th 00:00 gets converted to November 14th 21:00.
