Symptom

“Error occurred when transitioning the workflow.” when approving the new hire workflow.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Proxy as approver
  2. Try to approve the new hire workflow.
  3. Error "Error occurred when transitioning the workflow”.

Resolution

Engineering team will correct this on 18 Jun for Preview instance and 20 Jun for Production.

Workaround:

1. If there is a Workflow, cancel the workflow.

2. Re-do the MPH hire (do not change the PCNR pay date) .Finish hire and change Pay Date after hire.

3. OR,  go back to onboarding dashboard -> find the candidate -> new hire data review page --> you will see the PCNR. delete it .   --> come to MPH page, open this candidate -> add the PNCR with the correct payDate.
