3472060 - Custom queries do not show in the query dropdown when creating quick links in homepage

You have created a custom query in a BO, when you try to add a quick link in homepage to this custom query, it does not show in the query dropdown in homepage adaptation.

• Create a "Quick Link" tile in home page
• When creating the tile, in the "Query" dropdown, the required custom query is not available

There can be two causes here

1. The query created in the BO may not have been created in adaptation mode. Queries created while not in adaptation will not be visible when creating a quick link card.

2. The custom query is controlled by a page layout rather than the master layout. 

1. In this case, please create the custom query while in adaptation mode

• Access the desired view.
• Open the Adaptation Mode.
• Create the Custom Query.
• Save.
• End the Adaptation Mode.
• Go to the Home page view.
• Create a new quick link card.
• Select the Filter >Object> Query.

2. In this case, it is a technical limitation in C4C that only custom queries visible in master layout will be available while creating homepage quick link. However, the below workaround can be used

• Make the query visible in master layout as well as the page layout.
• Create a quick link tile for the required role with the page layout where the query is visible and now add the required custom query. It should be visible as you would have made it visible in master layout as well.
• Now that you have added the tile, you can now hide the query in master layout.
