3472402 - "The dimension is used as the currency dimension of a model" in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

After making changes to a Public Dimension which has currency conversion enabled, users are unable to save the Dimension.
The following error message appears:

• The dimension is used as the currency dimension of a model. Therefore in the following members, a currency is required: Member_A, Member_B, Member_C,...  

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.2.21

1. Logon to SAP Analytics Cloud
2. Open a Public Dimension and make change to it
3. Try to save the Dimension
4. The error appears: The dimension is used as the currency dimension of a model. Therefore in the following members, a currency is required: Member_A, Member_B, Member_C, ...  

Adding new members, modifying the hierarchy or removing currency entries can result in such an error.

Follow one of the two options below:

• Maintain a currency for all members from the error message,
  or
• Remove the dimension from the model which has it set as the currency dimension.
