How to archive production orders in S/4HANA Cloud 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Please refer to online help to check all of the prerequisites . 
2. Set deletion flag against the production order. The status will be changed to DLFL.
3. Set deletion indicator against the production order.  The status will be changed to DLT.
   This can be done in app Manage Archiving Variants.
   Use archiving object PP_ORDER and choose Variant Type : 'Preprocessing', tick on indicator : Set Deletion Indicator 
   Note :
   1. The settings 'Residence Time 1' and 'Residence Time 2' in SSCUI 102004 (Define Production Order types) need to be taken into consideration .
      • Residence time 1:
        The time interval (in calendar months) that must be between the setting of the deletion flag (for the determination of the residence time 1: time of the last change of the order) and the setting of the deletion indicator.
        Important: With the deletion flag, a change to the order is no longer possible and no more changes should be carried out.

        For the determination of the residence time 1, the system always uses the time of the last change of the order. The reason for this is that it is possible to reset the status DLFL in the dialog , to change the order, to set the status again and then save. In this case, the event of the status DLFL is not updated because the status is not updated between the resetting and setting again. This has not changed. However, the order was changed despite this and therefore, the system saves this change for the order correspondingly. Therefore, the last change of the order is used for the residence time. In most cases, this is identical with the event of the set status DLFL.

      • Residence time 2:
        The time interval (in calendar months) that must elapse between setting the deletion indicator and archiving (writing to the archive and deleting).

   2. When creating the variant, the default value of parameter 'Maximum number of orders' is 0 and due to which, only one order can be archived. If multiple orders need to be archived, please change this to a larger number e.g. 99999.
      
      
4. Create variant with Variant Type: 'Write' in app Manage Archiving Variants  to archive the production orders.
