3472725 - Application Error when Rehiring an Employee

When rehiring an employee an application error appears which prevents the rehire from completing.

You would receive an application error when rehiring an employee The application error id would be accompanied  error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: could not prepare statement

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Rehire Inactive Employee
2. Select inactive user for rehire
3. Fill all required information
4. Click Submit
5. Application error appears preventing the rehire
6. error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: could not prepare statement 

Internal log error:TIMEANDLABOR_JOB_INFO_TIME_ACCOUNT_SAVE_ERROR, time account 

• An application error like this can appear when there is already a future posting for the users time account.
• The system will not be able to delete the absences or accrual which are already posted from time accounts.
• TIME_ACCOUNT_ALREADY_EXIST 

Check: TIME_ACCOUNT_ALREADY_EXIST,

1. Go to Manage data
2. Time Account: 
3. Closed: NO

This indicates whether or not the account is already closed and can no longer be booked. Typically, time accounts are closed during period-end processing. 

The TIMEANDLABOR_JOB_INFO_TIME_ACCOUNT_SAVE_ERROR occurs when there is a future posting for a user's time account, preventing the rehire process from completing. To resolve this issue, check the existing time account for the affected user and delete it. After doing so, you can attempt the rehire again, and the error should no longer appear.
