3473054 - The Updated Ship-to on the General Tab Does Not Update to Item Level in Sales Orders

The Ship-to party in sales order general tab is updated to value XYZ, but you find in item level, the ship-to party is still ABC. The update made on the general tab does not update in item level.

ABC, XYZ represents the business partner ID.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Sales Orders work center view.
2. Open the sales order.
3. In General tab, the Ship-to party is XYZ.
4. Go to the Items tab, and select the item line, you notice the Ship-to party is ABC.

When creating a new sales order manually, the Ship-to on General tab will be copied into Item lines. If you change the Ship-to in the item line manually, then the further change made on General tab will not be updated into the modified line. 

When you creating a sales order copying it from an existing sales order, then system checks the header and item ship-to value.

• If the header and item ship-to has same value, it is considerred as not modified, the change on header ship-to will be copied into item level. 
• If the header and item ship-to has different value, it is considered as modified, then the change made on the header ship=to will not be copied into item level.

This is the current system designed behavior.
