3473129 - Not Able to Release a Customer Invoice Due to Error: "Rebate Agreement determination failed"

You are not able to release a customer invoice, system raises error: "Rebate Agreement determination failed".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Customer Invoicing - Invoice Documents view.
2. Open the invoice ABC.
3. Click release button, get error: Rebate Agreement determination failed. 

ABC represents the ID of the customer invoice.

You have enabled the Rebates function in the Business Configuration. But there is no Rebate agreement maintained in the system.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Implementation Projects view.
3. 2x click on First Implementation.
4. Select Edit Project Scope, then navigate to Step 4 - Questions
5. Expand Product and Service Pricing, then Select Sales Price Specifications. You will see the Group: Rebates (1) > the question "Do you wish to maintain Rebates?" is ticked.

The error occurred because Rebate price component (accrual rate) was selected in error when creating the invoice.

You may try to update the pricing in the invoice.

1.Open customer Invoicing WC  
2.Open Invoicing documents and open the invoice KRP-111462-2024 .  
3.Open pricing tab. 
4. Click on update pricing button
5. Select completely. Note, it will redetermine the price from price master data, manually added price component will be deleted as well. Please add them again afterwards.
7. Save and release invoice.

 If you are not using rebate agreements, it is better to uncheck the scope for the Rebate Agreement.
