3473397 - CIF catalog import Fatal Error: “XML Document file of type Unknown” and “Unable to determine type of content”

Symptom

Two “Fatal Errors” appear simultaneously when attempting to import a CIF catalog into the Ariba Buyer application:




1. “XML Document file:/...cif of type Unknown not recognized by the system”

AND

2. “Unable to determine type of content: file:/…cif. Recognized types are: cif supplierUpdate SupplierUpdate Supplier Index Contract TypeDefinition. If this is a CIF catalog ensure that the header is valid.
