3473489 - Newly Created/Provisioned Learning Tenants on 1H 2024 have Locale IDs as "Y"

Symptom

When attempting to add a new locale to a newly created Learning tenant, the Locale IDs show as "Y".

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Learning Administration
  2. Access References > Manage Labels > Locales
  3. Choose Add New
  4. Try to select a different Locale ID
  5. Most Locale IDs will be Y

Resolution

This issue will be fixed with the b2411 (2H 2024) release. A patch is tentatively scheduled for June 11th on preview tenants and June 13th for production tenants.

Workaround

  1. Go to System Administration > Configuration > Search Selectors
  2. Edit the I18n Locale Search Selector
  3. Find the dropDownEnabled setting and change it to false
  4. Apply Changes

This temporary workaround will allow the viewing of the appropriate Locale names due to the Language column so they can be enabled in the system.
