Symptom
After Release, the view history of permission role changes shows all changes were effective on release date.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Manage Permission Roles.
- View History for any roles last modified on. (Note the Changed By users)
- Switch back to legacy role-based permissions.
- Take action
- View change history for those same roles. (Note the Changed By user)
Cause
System design.
Resolution
- Run the Change Audit Report for the release date and you will observe that the changes were performed by v4admin.
- v4admin is a hardcoded inactive user that is used for system processes across the entire SuccessFactors Environment. During the release, there were enhancements in RBP permission that include roles in the activity.
- There will be no impact in your instance or in the specific permission roles in your instance.
