3474530 - Getting HTTP 500 error while accessing Cleansing Package Builder - SAP Information Steward 4.x

Symptom

  • During the deployment of Information Steward in NetWeaver the following error is displayed:

    • [JLinEE reported following erros for sap.com/CPBWS_WEBAPP application. ERRORS: * Web Model Builder: cvc-elt.1.a: Cannot find the declaration of element 'web-app'., file: CPBWebservice.war#WEB-INF/web.xml, column 246, line 2, severity: error] Hint: 1) The given archive file is not a valid Java EE or SAP specific application. See Deploy Controller log /sapmnt/SUM/sdt/log/SUM/deploy_api.0.log for details. 

  • When trying to access Information Steward Cleansing Package Builder the following error is displayed: 
    • HTTP 500 error while accessing Cleansing Package Builder
