Symptom

The schedule icon /Button doesn’t work in a project

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Project Management work center.
  2. Go to Projects view.
  3. Choose the Project PQR(PQR refers to the Project Id)
  4. Click on Edit and in the Project Plan tab, you see that the schedule button is disabled/greyed out

Cause

The project PQR is in planning status and the Schedule button will not be enabled
Only in the Started/Released status, the schedule button will be enabled

Resolution

While the status of the project is In planning, the system automatically calculates the earliest and latest start and finish dates of the project.

You set the status of the project to Started or Released. After this, the Schedule button will be enabled.
