3475082 - onView rules that set Visibility to fields don't work in Compensation Information History.

Symptom

You have an onView rule configured in Compensation Information that sets a field visibility doesn't work in Compensation Information History.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new field in BCUI > Compensation Information.
  2. Go to Manage Permission Roles > Select a Role > Grant only View Access to the newly created field. 
  3. Go to Configure Business Rules > Create a business rule that sets field's visibility to Edit.
  4. Assign the rule in BCUI.
  5. Go to an Employee's Profile > Through Take Action & Pencil Icon, the field's visibility is set to Edit.
  6. However, click on History > Edit a record or Insert a New Record > Field's visibility is still View only. 

Resolution

Engineering Team is investigating the issue and this KBA will be updated with fix details once available.
