3475226 - Issues with the determination of the recognition key during sales order creation for a project assigned to two revenue recognition keys

• There is a requirement to sell the same material by creating different sales orders assigned to a project with 2 different revenue recognition keys.
• Derived result analysis key XXXX doesn't match key XXXX of the WBS element

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

The workaround is to use the app Event-Based Revenue Recognition-Projects app to temporarily modify the revenue recognition key for the WBS billing element. This would allow the project account assignment to the sales order items. After the assignment is successfully done, you can revert the recognition key to the original one. 

In future, there is a plan in SD to allow custom item categories. Hence, We would like you to submit this feature request to SAP via CIP.
