3475353 - How to delete a PR with "in process externally" status created by MRP run

When trying to delete the PR item but getting the error: “You cannot edit the PR item”.

When checking the Purchase requisition, "EXT APPRVL STAT" field is marked as “P In Process externally”.

This is a result of the data inconsistency in the system. The purchase requisition mentioned has been created by MRP Run in the moment, when the assignment to the MRP Group PREQ with External Approval was 0011.

Now, when the assignment from the material master has been removed, the purchase requisition is in the state External Approval, but cannot be seen in the Handover Purchase Requisition app.

Please note that Handover Purchase Requisition app displays only the purchase requisitions in the status External Approval for the materials, which are assigned to the MRP group with the external approval.

In order to delete the purchase requisition

1. please assign the 0011 MRP Group to the material master for the respective material
2. please open the Handover Purchase Requisition app and search for your purchase requisition
3. delete your purchase requisition
4. do not forget to change the MRP group assignment back to the valid one.
