Member IDs getting duplicated in the public dimension table when import data in the table in SAC.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Login to SAC,
2. Go to Modeler.
3. Open the public dimension table.

Notice that the member IDs are duplicated.

The dimension technology in modeler has a constraint that the ID must be unique. So, these duplicated rows are not actually duplicated, one of them has trailing white space.

The two member ID are not the same (one with trailing space, one not). You can check this in the grid view (grid view support editing and thus is easier to put the cursor into the field to check)

You can check which source data has trailing space, and use the transform feature in the data import job setting to remove the space.
