3476004 - Process communication error : Intercompany posting not allowed;Cost Center belongs to different company

Process communication error in Supplier quote, as a result awarded quote has not generated any Purchase Order 

Business ByDesign 

1. Go to Sourcing and Contracting work center
2. Go to Requests for Quotations view 
3. Search for the Request for Quotation ID 
4. Click on View all and go to document flow
5. Supplier Quote document is having a Process Communication error and Purchase Order is not created out of this Request for Quotation document 

Cost Center and Companies are different in the documents.

The flow of the documents created are as below in this scenario:

Shopping Cart -> Purchase Request -> Sourcing Request -> Request for Quotation -> Supplier Quote 

Shopping Cart , Purchase Request and Sourcing Request are all created for Company A 

While the Company B is manually entered while creating Request for Quotation document. Hence the Supplier Quote has also taken Company B. As there is a difference in the Company used in the documents, system is throwing the the process communication error : Intercompany posting not allowed;Cost Center belongs to different company. 

As Request for Quotation document is already published and respective Supplier Quote is created, the company values cannot be modified. Hence, this is the system behavior.

As a workaround, Process communication error on Supplier Quote can be cancelled upon the customer permission. Later the Supplier Quote and Request for Quotation can be cancelled (which are having wrong company). These documents can be created again with reference to the Purchase Request which was already created in the flow before.
