No sourcing request created

Cause

In the Business Configuration work center under scoping questions - "Do you want to create sourcing requests from purchase requests to use as proposals in RFx documents?" is scoped.

The Sourcing Requests from Purchase Requests business option enables your purchasing department to receive proposals based on purchase requests with no source of supply to create RFx documents. So this business option is relevant if you create RFx documents that are based on purchase requests with no source of supply.

Hence no sourcing requested separately. If you check the document flow of purchase request, the status appears as RFQRequest Created.

Resolution

Descope the question by following the below steps so that system will not create RFQ Request

  1. Go to the business configuration work center
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select View Active scope button.
  4. Go to Scoping questions and go to the element Sourcing
  5. Select Sourcing and Contracting and Sourcing Requests
  6. De-scope the question and finish the scoping activity
