Symptom

Subcontracting PO cannot be created with error ME 154 even Bom has been maintained.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Cause

Currently the BOM explosion for FG material does not determine any components as the maintained components of the BOM are filtered out as not relevant.

The material provision indicator has been set to 'X' (Rework Material from Subcon.)

Resolution

If the BOM explosion shall create appropriate component demands for the components maintained in the BOM please adjust the BOM or customizing settings accordingly.
