3476745 - Unified Data Model: When to run ReBuild Posted Job Requisition Search Index Job

Symptom

With the Unified Data Model, a number of jobs were created to help with the process of converting to UDM.
The Implementation guide goes through these jobs as part of the data preparation step.

This KBA focuses on the ReBuild Posted Job Requisition Search Index Job with the following points :

What does the job do?
When should it be run?
When to select the parameter : Rebuild the Complete Posted Job Requisition Search Index
Should this job be scheduled to run daily?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting

Resolution

What does the job do?
The job indexes the migrated data in the database before Career Site Builder can consume it.

When should it be run?
This job should be run after the initial UDM configuration is done (templates updated, objects populated, existing requisitions updated with fields and values) or if such changes are made post conversion.

When to select the parameter :
The first index includes all posted requisition whereas subsequent runs only include new requisitions.
Selecting the parameter allows all requisitions to be indexed again. This is required to pick up changes to the templates which also affects the original requisitions such as label changes for example.
If the Google integrated map is enabled post UDM enablement then the job also needs to be run with the parameter to have all list and Google Map functionalities. See KBA 3475915 - Unified Data Model - Google Job Map is not returning expected jobs

Should this job be scheduled to recur?
The job can only be run once in 24 hours but this does not mean it should be scheduled to run every day.
Doing so is not required to allow new job requisitions to be indexed and could affect performance.
As a result, the option to schedule this job was removed with release 1H2025.
