3476945 - Error Appears While Trying to Post Goods and Service Receipt

Unable to post Goods and Service Receipt due to error message. 
Error -XYZ of item type External Service - Time and Material cannot be confirmed

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Goods and Services Receipts work center
2. Go to Receipts and Returns view 
3. Select Show by Documents 
4. Select the relevant Goods and Service Receipt 
5. Click on Edit button and select Check
6. Error appears

The error occurred because the wrong Item Type is used in the Goods and Services Receipt. Products that belong to RSTM - External Service – Time and Material group cannot be processed. When the Goods and Service Receipt is created against the product, at this point of time it is known which items/services have been consumed for the purchase order so actual items should be added and not items of the type RSTM. This item type is only used when it is not yet known which services will be needed for the order. 

You have to Cancel the existing Goods and Service Receipt document with error message and create a New Goods and Services Receipt with correct item type. You can update item type SECO -Service Time and Material in the service master data while creating the documents.
