3477204 - Auto Data Purge and Its Impact on Attachments in Recruiting

When the "Auto Data Purge" feature for Documents in Data Retention Management is enabled, purged documents remain visible but their content is replaced with the sentence "The document you are trying to access has been removed from the system."  

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Enable the "Auto Data Purge" feature for Documents in Data Retention Management.  
2. Purge candidate documents.  
3. Attempt to access the purged documents.  
4. Encounter that a file remains in the attachment field with the text "The document you are trying to access has been removed from the system."

• Once the documents are purged, the files remain visible, but their content is replaced with the sentence "The document you are trying to access has been removed from the system."  
• This behavior has been confirmed by Product Management as the current functionality of the product.  
• Please note that purged documents cannot be restored.  
• Candidates may unknowingly apply to Jobs with "empty" resumes due to the purging process.  
• An internal enhancement request has been created to address this behavior. For updates, contact your CSM and provide the reference number: RCM-128401.  
• As a workaround, consider configuring an instruction field to prompt candidates to verify their resumes and upload new ones if they have been purged.
