3477412 - SCC master instance cannot relinquish master role

Symptom

  • Trying to switch roles in SAP Cloud Connector High-Availability set up results in error "Cannot relinquish master role. See 'Log And Trace Files' and in particular ljs_trace.log for details."
  • In the master instance ljs_trace.log / scc_core.trc, below exception is logged:

    com.sap.scc.servlets.RequestFailureExecution$RuntimeFailure: Cannot relinquish master role. See 'Log And Trace Files' and in particular ljs_trace.log for details. Associated entries were logged on or around <timestamp>
        at com.sap.scc.ha.PushToShadow.relinquishMasterRole(PushToShadow.java:<nn>)
    Caused by: com.sap.scc.servlets.RequestFailureExecution$RuntimeFailure: Shadow cannot assume master role — see shadow system logs for details
        at com.sap.scc.ha.PushToShadow.relinquishMasterRole(PushToShadow.java:<nn>)
