Symptom
- Does the system support multi-level cascading questions?
- How many levels can we have for a Cascading Question?
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Resolution
It is possible to configure multi-level cascading questions. To achieve this, simply repeat the same steps for each sub-level:
- Specify the exact name of a child question as the "Parent Question" for the sub-level child question;
- Specify the "Parent Response" the applicant needs to give to the parent question.
For how to create a cascading question, please refer to the KBA 2643722 - How to add / edit / import questions on Question Library - Recruiting Management.
Sample:
Note:
- Only one child question can be tied to each Parent Response.
- It's not possible to modify any attribute from the Child Question, such as the Parent Response value.
Q. How many levels can we have for a Cascading Question?
There is no limit to the number of levels when creating cascading questions. However, currently only one level of cascading question is supported on Recruiting Marketing (RMK) Career Site.
For details, please see KBA 2833821 - Only one child question is appearing in a multi-level cascading question on Career Site - Recruiting Management.
