    Environment

    Reproducing the Issue

You try to make cross-company-code postings or try to submit cross-company-code postings but get an error message due to missing authorizations.

    Cause

You do not have authorization, that is, write access, either for the leading (sending) or for one of the non-leading (receiving) company codes.

You might have been able to make or submit postings like these before SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2408 even if you didn't have write access for all non-leading (receiving) company codes. As this was not the intended system behavior, the corresponding authorization checks have been updated so that this is not possible anymore.

    Resolution

Check your authorizations regarding write access for the company codes you need to work with and ask your system administrator to grant you the relevant authorizations (if you are eligible for write access).

As regards the submitting of cross-company-code postings, you might need to provide write access with a posting authorization for non-leading company codes to enable users to submit cross-company-code postings.

As of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408 Hotfix Collection 5, it is possible to temporarily suppress the authorization check for non-leading company codes when a posting is submitted until a final solution with separate authorization profiles is available.
You can request this check to be suppressed with SAP Support by creating an incident for component FI-GL-GL-A-2CL.
