3478004 - DAC in Datasphere does not apply in SAC when hierarchy view is set to flat in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

In DWC (Data Warehouse Cloud or Datasphere), you have set up DAC (Data Access Control) at the dimension level.  However, when the dimension is consumed in SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), if the hierarchy is set to "Flat Presentation", then the DAC set up in DWC is not applied

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.8.10

1. Set up DAC in DWC at the dimension level
2. Consume that dimension in SAC
3. Set the Hierarchy view type to Flat Presentation
4. Note that DAC is not applied

This issue is currently under investigation by development.

There are two current workarounds:

1. Create a view of the dimension in DWC and then create a second DAC to apply at that level
   or
2. In SAC set the presentation to anything other than Flat Presentation
