Symptom
In Org Chart, Out of Office icon is displayed for employees even when Latest People Profile is disabled

Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central : Employee Profile
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite : Org Chart
Reproducing the Issue
- In Company System and Logo settings:
- "Enable the latest People Profile" is disabled.
- "Enable the latest Org Chart" is enabled.
- Employee has non-working day as per the work schedule or holiday calendar (not absence).
- Go to Org Chart > Search the user > Out of Office icon visible.
Resolution
- This is expected behavior and as per design.
- Out of Office information is also displayed on the org chart.
- In the latest org chart, absences, public holidays, and non-working days are considered like on the latest people profile
- On the legacy org chart, only absences are considered.
- It is recommend that you always turn on or off the latest Org Chart together with the latest People Profile for optimal user experience. (Note: With 1H 2025 release, latest org chart will be universal).
Note:
The following configuration is required to view the Out of Office information in the Org Chart:

Under Company System and Logo Settings, you need to switch on Show current absence status.

You need the View permission in User Permissions -> Time Management Object Permissions -> Employee Time.
