3478676 - Error when uploading an .xdp file - Onboarding

• When uploading an .xdp document in Admin Center > Maintain Onboarding and Offboarding Document Templates, the following error occurs: ChangeSet index 1 - ???Error during placeholder extraction. The uploaded template was therefore deleted. - HCP Error Message: Http Status Code 500???
• The error occurs only with .xdp documents.
• Uploading the sample document as a .pdf succeeds without error.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Maintain Onboarding and Offboarding Document Templates.
2. Upload an .xdp document.
3. Observe the error:
   ChangeSet index 1 - ???Error during placeholder extraction. The uploaded template was therefore deleted. - HCP Error Message: Http Status Code 500???
4. Upload the same document as a .pdf = Successful
5. Upload the same document as a .pdf in SAP demo = Successful

The issue is caused by a PFS misconfiguration, where the existing PFS URL/account does not currently support .xdp files.

The OData service endpoint must be configured to support .xdp files.

To proceed:

1. Please create a support case with SAP Support, providing the PFS credentials.
2. SAP Support will create an Operations ticket to update the OData service endpoint configuration.
