3479215 - MS Teams VLS Error: AADSTS7000222: The provided client secret keys are expired.

User cannot enroll in MS Teams VLS classes.

They see the error: User [] could not be registered in the VLS event. Please note the error code and contact your VLS administrator. VLS Error Code: {"error":"invalid_client","error_description":"AADSTS7000222: The provided client secret keys for app '' are expired. 

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Client secret is expired. Each time the client secret expires, you need to generate a new secret in the Azure portal and then update the VLS configuration file in SAP SuccessFactors Learning with the new value.

SAP Support cannot provide assistance in Microsoft Teams or Microsoft Azure settings. To resolve this issue, the following steps must be taken by the customer or an SAP Certified Partner.

1. Generate a Client Secret. Within your Azure portal, navigate to Certificates & secrets and then choose New client secret in the Client secrets section. Complete the client secret properties as desired, then choose Add. Copy the client secret in the Value column and then save in a secure, temporary location. This value is required when setting up the integration in SuccessFactors Learning Administration. When you navigate away from this page, the client secret value is masked and can’t be copied. If you haven’t copied the secret value, you’ll need to create a new client secret >
2. Go to SAP SuccessFactors Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > VLS Configuration and search for and edit your Microsoft Teams configuration file >
3. In the password element, paste the new client secret. It will look like <password>*****</password>. Replace ***** with the newly generated client secret >
4. To save, choose Apply Changes.
