3479446 - How to retrieve purged activity logs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)?

Symptom

Need to retrieve user activity logs from the past which have already been deleted in SAC.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud

 

Resolution

SAP does not keeps or have access to customer's activity logs, even more so when they are already purged. Neither the audit log nor any other log in the system have cold storage for the erased data. They are retained for a finite period of time or for a finite number of records. SAP cannot keep the data for any longer than what it states. The customer has the ability using APIs to retrieve and store however they would like.
