3479609 - Crtl+F search functionality does not work in New Manage Permission Roles page

Symptom

When using the new look of the Manage Permission Roles page, the Crtl+F search functionality only finds results among the currently visible fields

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Manage Permission Roles page

  2. Click the Edit button on right corner top

  3. Click Next step in bottom right corner

  4. Select for example the 'Employee Data' user permission on the left side, since this contains many permissions

  5. Search for any permission which is currently visible with the Crtl+F function -> The search will have a result

  6. Scroll down on the page and use the Crtl+F function again looking for the same permission -> There will be no result

Cause

In order to improve performance when many check-boxes are present on the UI, content will be loaded data according to the screen (lazy loading). So the Ctrl+F method can only search the texts displayed on screen.

Resolution

The new built-in search field called "Search for permission" should be leveraged to look for permissions on the page. It can search across categories and functions better than the Crtl+F method.
