3479751 - File XXX is not a valid archive.

Symptom

Before installing an SAP system, you are performing the option "Prerequisites Check" via SWPM. The selected option may be like below.
 
Selected Service: SAP NetWeaver 7.5 > SAP HANA Database > Preparations > Prerequisites Check
 
After you provided the directory path of the kernel files in SWPM screen, the following error is reported.
 
Error message:
File XXX is not a valid archive.
 
The file is the kernel file in the provided kernel directory.
 
For example, the file "SAPEXE_1200-80002573.SAR" was provided. The error is like below.
 
File /<kernel files directory path>/SAPEXE_1200-80002573.SAR is not a valid archive.
 
In the log file "sapinst_dev.log", there is the following error.

SAPCAR: violation of data integrity - value of entry-name-length exceeds allocated buffer size! (error 100). No such file or directory
