User finds that activity-based consolidation of investments posts differential amount arising in an Activity Step Acquisition on the FS item / Subitem, that is maintained in configuration step SAP S/4HANA for Group Reporting > Consolidation of Investments > Define Global Goodwill Items (t-code CXI7) as Direct elimination of goodwill / Direct elimination of negative goodwill (via FS Item Role).
