3480067 - Error message "Enter a business place under "Basic data""

Symptom

The error message "Enter a business place under "Basic data"" is raised when posting a billing document.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Change Billing Documents and try to post a billing document

2. Message "Enter a business place under "Basic data"" is raised

Cause

Business place is mandatory for the following countries:

· Brazil
· Philippines
· South Korea
· Taiwan
· Thailand

For other countries, the error will be raised if there is an entry for the respective country in configuration activity Activate Business Place (ID 102848). Because of which system expects a Business Place, which is not provided.

Resolution

If for the respective country, Business Place is not mandatory then to resolve the error: remove the entry for that country from Configuration activity Activate Business Place (ID 102848)) and then retry posting the billing document.
