3480286 - Answers to screening questions disappear and gets required questions error when internal candidates edit existing application - Recruiting Management (1H 2024)

After 1H 2024 Release, when internal candidate edits their existing job application, their answers to screening questions disappear as a result they receive an error that required questions must be answered.

However screening questions are no longer editable, because of this there’s no way to save the changes.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. As an internal candidate, apply to a job requisition
2. Then go to Careers > Job Application
3. Look for the job you applied then under Action choose "View/Edit Application and Add Attachments"
4. Scroll to the bottom and confirm that the screening questions still have answer on them
5. Edit any field in the application then click Update button at the bottom (you can also just simply click the Update button without changing anything)
6. You’ll get a message that required questions must be answered
7. Scroll to the bottom and notice that answers to the screening questions have disappeared
8. Hence changes cannot be saved

Release defect due to changes on prescreening behavior to read only.

The Product and engineering team decided to revert the changes made on Prescreening questions behavior. Once reverted, this issue will not happen. 

The action to revert this behavior is being target to 2405p15. Patch release dates can be found in the SAP SuccessFactors Patches Knowledge Base
