3480350 - "User info must not be empty" error when failing to login SAP Commerce Cloud Backoffice with SSO

Symptom

Failed to login SAP Commerce Cloud Backoffice with SSO, and the following error message could be found in console log:

ERROR de.hybris.platform.samlsinglesignon.security.Saml2UserFilter - Can't map user properly
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: User info must not be empty
