3481157 - Attachment Extraction Option Unavailable in Data Workbench

Symptom

Unable to locate the option to extract attachments using Data Workbench for all Business Objects (BOs). 

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Data Workbench Work Center
  2. Go to Export View
  3. Select the respective Business Object (BO).
  4. Observe that the option to extract attachments is not available.

Cause

Currently, only data related items can be exported using Data Workbench.

Resolution

  1. Extraction of attachments using Data Workbench is not possible. This is expected behavior.
  2. As a workaround, refer to "3371608 - How to do Attachment Extraction from SAP Cloud for Customer" for instructions on extracting attachments using ODATA collection with Object ID as reference.
