Statistics Austria provides a structure for the XML file. The website of Statistics Austria should be checked for information on Structural Business Statistics Survey with Balance of Accounts and variable list.

The structure published in this variable list consists of the following parts:

• Identification characteristics (“ID”): the elements are derived from company and report parameters.
• Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet: these parts are covered by a financial statement version.
• Additional characteristics: the employee related data is mandatory while file transmission. It is possible to add the data manually in edit mode or derive it automatically using a custom logic.
• Worksites characteristic: it is possible to include the data in the report by manually adding it or by using a custom logic. As an option, data of worksites can also be submitted online via eQuest. In this case the XML element "ARB" is filled with N and no values are included for worksites.
