3481351 - PY-GB: P11D notes for tax year 2024

Symptom

HMRC no longer accept paper copies of P11D forms and the P11D data submissions has to be made electronically by XML. Employers are still required to give employees a copy of the P11D information by 6th July each year but the format of this information is no longer set by HMRC. As there is no longer a legal format for the employee P11D information, SAP updated and simplified the P11D forms that were delivered from tax year 2023/24.
This change has resulted in several correction SAP Notes being released regarding the topic of P11D. In order to ensure that all the P11D customers can implement these on time and in the correct order, this KBA has collected all of the related SAP Notes and useful information together.

- The paper P11D is no longer a legal form. It is an SAP form designed to assist our customers. The form has been simplified by removing unnecessary elements. However, on the selection screen, you have the option to choose any other form you prefer to use. It is important to note that you must provide a copy of the P11D data you have submitted to HMRC to your employee.

- The P11D report's selection screen has been updated to dynamically change starting from the tax year ending April 2024. Additionally, the output of the report has been modified to align with the standard HR LOG Display. It is important to note that the ALV (ABAP List Viewer) will always be visible in the program's output when executed.

- Due to recent changes in the P11D report, the selection screen no longer allows the selection of old ALV variants. In order to choose a variant on the selection screen, it is necessary to create a new variant.
