3481419 - Missing G/L Accounts In Overhead Distribution Run Between Cost Centers.

After performing an Overhead Distribution Run between Cost Centers, some G/L accounts are missing in the "Postings" tab.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Go to Overhead Distribution subview.
3. Search for Run ID: XYZ (XYZ represents the Run ID). 
4. Click "View" button, or "Log Result".
5. Go to Postings tab.
6. Some G/L accounts are missing. 

A possible reason is because in the Distribution Rule that was used in the Run, some cost centers were selected for both "Senders" and "Receivers", but during the execution of the Run the system did not find any cost center within the postings of that G/L account for that period in which it was selected in both the Run and the Distribution Rule. Please follow the steps below to check the same: 

1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center. 
2. Go to Distribution Rules subview. 
3. Search for Distribution Rule ID: DEF (DEF represents the Distribution Rule ID). 
4. Click "Edit" button. 
5. Go to "Senders" tab and select the "Assignment Valid On" according to the period that you are performing the Overhead Distribution Run. 
6. Here the system will show the valid Cost Center. 

Use the "G/L Accounts - Line Items" report to check if the Cost Center is present in the postings of the missing G/L account in the period where the Overhead Distribution Run was performed. 

The system will always check in the Distribution Rule if is active the "Account Determination Group", the "Distribution Basis" type, the "Account Structure" that was selected, and the "Group of Accounts" that was defined in the Account Structure. An important detail that must be taken into consideration is whether the "Account Determination Group" is active or not. If you do not select an account determination group, the original expense accounts are used (that is, the accounts you specified when you entered the distribution values). This is also called primary cost distribution. For more information, please refer to the Help Documents in the "See Also" section.
