3481512 - Route Map Step Names Changed to 'Modification' or 'Untitled' after Using 'Modify Form Route Map'

After utilizing the Modify Form Route Map tool on a live form, all step names within the EN_US locale display as 'Modification' or 'Untitled'.

1. In Provisioning's Company Settings, set system default language to any language other than English US.
2. Log into the instance and create a route map without configuring EN_US locale.
3. Launch a form using this route map.
4. Navigate to “Modify Form Route Map” tool and search for one form.
   note that default language of route map matches default from provisioning.
5. Modify the route map and save changes.
6. Search this form again.
   observe that default language switches to English US, while step names change to 'Modification' or 'Untitled'.

This is a Known Issue.

This is because that an unintended switch of the form route map's default locale to EN_US happened when use “Modify Form Route Map” tool.
And the step name of EN_US are not configured, so system will show 'Modification' or 'Untitled'.

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2024 release (b2411).

Workaround

1. When use “Modify Form Route Map” tool, change the language of right upper to the language you need before making modifications.
2. Configure step names for EN_US locale through “Modify Form Route Map” tool for correct display.

Note: after fix, when you use “Modify Form Route Map” tool, the default locale of the form route map won't be changed to EN_US.
But there is no change for those forms that the default locale of the form route map has been changed to EN_US. You still need to modify the route map manually if you would like to make it display correctly in EN_US environment.
